 Lay MSC from around the world held an International Conference in the city of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic from November 14 until November 24 2008There were 128 members of the Chevalier Family present. While most of the delegates were laity, they were accompanied by some Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart. The assembled group represented 28 different countries from all five Continents. Delegates attending the Lay MSC Conference There were 128 members of the Chevalier Family present. While most of the delegates were laity, they were accompanied by some Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart. The assembled group represented 28 different countries from all five Continents. The motto of the Congress was: "To be the Heart of God in the world". The various papers and reflections presented during the course of the conference helped the participants reflect on how to live the charism of Father Chevalier in today's world. Those who attended found the conference to be a rich experience of international togetherness in the Chevalier Family.
