On Monday 17th September almost 200 MSC friends and benefactors set off from Ireland for a week's pilgrimage to Lourdes in Southern France.A full programme for the week was organised including daily Mass, a torchlight procession, celebrations of the sacraments of anointing and reconciliation and Stations of the Cross. The highlight of the pilgrimage was celebrating early mornning mass at the grotto. Lourdes Pilgrimage On Monday 17th September almost 200 MSC friends and benefactors set off from Ireland for a week's pilgrimage to Lourdes in Southern France.Traveling with the group were Fr. Michael O'Connell, msc (Director of the Mission Support Centre), Fr. Dan O'Connor, msc from the Cork house on the Western Rd, Frs. Michael Crowley, msc and Brendan Hanley, msc from Myross Wood in Leap, West Cork, Fr. Des Farren, msc from Dublin and Fr. Diarmuid O'Riordan, msc from Carraig na bhFear. While in Lourdes, in addition to bringing their own private prayers and petitions, the group offered special prayers for MSCs, the MSC missions and the needs of the many MSC friends and supporters. |
