Marriage and the FamilyAccordAccord is a voluntary Catholic organisation that aims to promote a deeper understanding of Christian marriage and to offer people the means to safeguard and nourish their marriage and family relationships. Getting Married This website is offered by CatholicIreland.net and ACCORD as a service to all couples preparing for a Church wedding. Both are organisations with a responsibility to support Catholic marriage in Ireland. The site aims at being of assistance to couples in their preparation for both the wedding day and future married life. Celebrating Family This website has been created in response to the findings of Listening 2004: My Family My Church, an initiative of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales. It represents the main means of making certain key resources freely available and also for collecting, storing and sharing the resources that exist in parishes, dioceses, organisations and other Christian communities across England and Wales and beyond. Family and Life The charitable work of Family & Life is focused on protecting human life and helping women, children, unborn babies and families in vulnerable situations. Work focuses on alleviating poverty in its complete definition. The Iona Institute The Iona Institute is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to the strengthening of civil society through making the case for marriage and religious practice. Marriage Care Marriage Care is a charity operating across England and Wales. Its purpose is to help people prepare for, achieve and sustain successful marriages and to support them should their marriages break down. The charity was established in 1946 as the Catholic Marriage Advisory Council (CMAC).
Marriage Encounter Worldwide Marriage Encounter offers a weekend experience designed to give married couples the opportunity to learn a technique of loving communication that they can use for the rest of their lives. It's a chance to look deeply into their relationship with each other and with God. It's a time to share their feelings, hopes and dreams with each other. Pioneer Total Abstinence Association of the Sacred Heart The website of the Pioneer Movement, founded by Fr. James Cullen SJ in 1898 to address the problem of Alcohol abuse which was rampant in Irish society at that time and to spread devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Fr. Cullen recognised that it was only through devotion to the Sacred Heart that the scourge of alcohol could be destroyed. The Pioneer Association has, in over 100 years, spread throughout the world and its membership is continually growing in countries like Africa and Latin America.
